Most whiskeys have a color that falls somewhere on the spectrum of browns, from straw to mahogany. Exactly where they land depends on the type of oak barrels they age in. A whiskey with this kind of deep reddish glow would likely come from barrels that previously contained port. Regardless, this amazing color is now being used as inspiration for this hue of Zircon gemstone.
Rob took this 2.87ct (7x9mm) faceted, oval Whiskey Zircon and put it into a basket setting on a modified Cuirnean Ring. The ring is 14kt yellow gold and measures 3/8 inch at the top and narrows to slightly over 1/16 inch at the back.
