Return/Exchange/Repair Policies

All of our jewelry is completely guaranteed against any defect in the material or in the workmanship. Rob will repair or replace anything where either are at fault.

If any of our jewelry pieces are damaged due to ill use or accident, Rob will repair the piece for a fee. Generally, no more than the cost of the materials and return shipping. Please contact us by email, describing the damage and sending a photo if possible, so we can let you know the anticipated cost and timeframe for repair.

If you ever have any concerns about our jewelry (stone seems loose, jump ring connectors seems to be wearing thin from daily use, etc), please come see us at a show or email us. Rob will always be happy to check your piece thoroughly for any signs of excessive wear or damage that could be concerning. And he would always prefer to perform any repairs himself, he knows his work best and if you take the piece somewhere else for repair he cannot guarantee the integrity.

As far as returns/exchanges go - we guarantee satisfaction on all of our jewelry. If a ring doesn't fit, we will resize it or replace it; if a piece simply doesn't suit, we can exchange it for another style. Exchanges for an item of lower cost will include a refund of the difference. And, strange as it might seem, if you or the person for whom a gift was purchased simply cannot find anything to suit, we will issue a complete refund to the original purchaser if returned within 90 days of purchase with a copy of the sales receipt.

Shipping an Item to us for Repair or Exchange

Please email us before shipping your item for repair or exchange. That way we can make sure that Rob knows to expect the work and let you know the cost of return shipping and insurance. Most simple stock silver items can be covered by $9.00, however larger items, multiple pieces or mixed metal/gold items will have a higher return shipping and insurance cost. Shipping costs can be paid by check or we can send you an email invoice when we receive the package, to be paid online by CC or PayPal. If you do not include a check/money order inside the package, we will assume you want an email invoice.

Items returned for repair or exchange must include (1) a note with the client's return address, telephone number, email address for package tracking and any pertinent information about the item (i.e. repair requested or ring sizing), (2) a check/money order for the amount we quoted to you to cover return shipping and insurance OR a note requesting that we email you an invoice to be paid online by CC or PayPal.

The item should be packed in a BOX (padded envelopes can get crushed or torn by sorting equipment), and shipped insured to R E Piland, PO Box 607, Haymarket VA 20168-0607. These steps will prevent lost or damaged articles and give us the information we need to take care of your item as promptly as possible.

When your item arrives you will be contacted by email to let you know we received the item and a timeframe for anticipated shipping of the repaired/replaced item.
